Submission Info

Currently, only unpublished work is being considered. Unpublished as not in a public space. Poetry, prose, flash fiction are accepted at this time. No more than 5 pages per entry, any more and the work will not be considered.  Please submit in a readable font with single spacing. Word docs and PDFs encouraged. Please write with originality; anything found to be written or conceived by AI will not be accepted.

The theme for this submission period is ‘Revival’.

Submissions are open June 1st at 9 am EST. Submissions close August 31st at 11:59 PM EST. 

There is no submission fee.

English is preferred. Translation required when requested.

We do accept multiple submissions, so please send us all pieces at a time. We also do accept simultaneous submissions, but please let us know right away if your piece has been accepted elsewhere by sending an email with the title of your piece to lostcauselitmag@gmail.com. 

Once we have published your work, you are free to send it elsewhere. We hold first-and one-time rights only, although we reserve the right to post your work in our Archives.
